Holiday Project

For our Holiday Project this year, I created a tacky Christmas sweater! It was a challenge for me because I had to create a stencil to use for painting on the red snowflakes. Afterward, I used fabric glue to put the mini Christmas trees on the collar! It is really fun and I love it!

AfterEffects Project

This is Jeremy and I's AfterEffects project! We had very little trouble doing it and it was a lot of fun! AfterEffects is interesting and very different from other things we have done so far.

Portfolio 2.0

This is my edited Portfolio that I am calling Portfolio 2.0. I really like my new version of my portfolio because it is very simple and more uniform throughout. It was hard to remember how to edit in InDesign because it has been a while, but slowly it came back to me! I'm proud to add some awesome new projects and make the portfolio represent my type of work better.

Illustrator Avatar

Recently we have worked hard on creating an avatar of ourselves in Illustrator. We started off with a photo of ourselves and then used whatever of the three technics Mr.Cole gave us to choose from and created an avatar! It was very difficult to find out which technic I could do well. I started off with a geometric avatar tutorial but it didn't work well with my photo. This ended up resulting in a comic book type of technic that I used to create the final product! I love the end result.

Photoshop Retouch

This past couple weeks we have been working on retouching a professional photo of ourselves in Photoshop. This is the original picture...

Now here is the retouched photo that will be used for the Academy Banquet slide show!

We enhanced our natural features and natural shadows with dodge and burn tool. We also used the clone stamp tool to get rid of fly-away hairs. To remove blemishes we used the spot healing tool and made sure our skin was extremely clean so that it was easy to smooth out. Final touches were brightening the eyes and whitening our teeth! I really enjoyed learning how to do this type of Photoshop work. It was hard to make the photo still look natural and not crazy edited.

Illustrator Troll

In Illustrator, we had to make this troll from a sketch we got from a website provided by Mr.Cole. It took a while to get it just right but now it is looking really good. I had trouble with making the right color gradients and applying them so they were in the correct direction. Illustrator is one of my favorite things we do in this class! 

Mama B's Bakery Logo

This is my first attempt at a logo for Mama B's Bakery. I'm trying to decide if I like the sign or if I want to put the name the "Mama B's Bakery" on the hat. I really like the little guy for the logo though. He is memorable and very adorable! I may also make him into a her because it is called Mama B's not Mr. B's. 

This is my final logo for Mama B's Bakery. After comments and suggestions I have decided to make the character into a grandma, made the sign go bye-bye and put a spoon in mama's hand. This version makes the name of the company associate better to the logo. :) Tell me what you think of my finished product!
