Plane - Go Make Me Something!

For our "Go Make Me Something!" project this week, I made this. I used Photoshop to composite two images together. We were given an image with the plane on it and we could make anything of it. I decided to make it an "I Spy" type of image. Also, I thought it would be cool to add a bonus question, just for fun. I enjoy doing the "Go Make Me Something" projects because it makes me create my own idea and figure out what kind of artist I am. Also, to see what I am capable of without a tutorial of any kind.

Giant Ego - unfinished

This is the unfinished Giant Ego project. It had some basic technics and many new harder technics as well. I didn't find this project difficult, only tedious. I wish I could have finished it! I had a lot of lighting information and showed how important lighting is for making a good composite. I enjoyed using the pen tool as well.

Miniture Composite

This project was extremely tedious but not very difficult. I didn't have trouble completing any of the steps and I'm happy it is over. It ended up being cute. I would not do this again though.

Dakota's Prince to Princess Transformation

This is Dakota's Princess transformation. Before:

After:
I really think this transformation was for the good, Dakota looks really nice as a woman. Its a little creepy but that is okay. This project was a great way to help me refresh my Photoshop skills, it has been a while since I have used Photoshop. It was hard at first but, by the end I was working fast and it was natural again.

Crappy to Snappy

This is the Girl's Varsity Lacrosse jersey, it is the crappy part of my "Crappy to Snappy" project. I believe this uniform is crappy because it is so general and does not make my team stand out from others. Also, it has no unique features that would separate us from Melbourne High uniform other than Viera on the front. Along with making this uniform stand out, I am going to add key features that actually show that we are a lacrosse team! This project should be pretty easy, except for when I try to figure out what colors to use. I can't wait to have a finished product.
This is the snappy version! I think it speaks for itself, it is much more interesting and appealing to the eye. The black going throughout the trim and numbers is supposed to be like the strings in the head of our lacrosse sticks. The black skirt makes this uniform look chic and intimidating at the same time! I had difficulty hard making a lacrosse stick with all its strings for the pattern in the numbers and trim as well as the actually lacrosse sticks on the uniform. I love my end result.

3D Map

This past couple weeks we have been working on creating a map with perspective and 3D buildings in illustrator. This took me quite a long time but I am very pleased with the outcome! The hardest part was the buildings themselves. It was had to figure out how to make the buildings to look 3D when all you had was 2D shapes. Illustrator always gives me a new challenge.

Holiday Project

For our Holiday Project this year, I created a tacky Christmas sweater! It was a challenge for me because I had to create a stencil to use for painting on the red snowflakes. Afterward, I used fabric glue to put the mini Christmas trees on the collar! It is really fun and I love it!
